Field Trip to Tuzla
One of our first achievements was organizing a memorable Mekteb field trip, that brought students on a journey to the city. The trip included visits to the zoo, where they looked at animals from around the world, and the movies for a fun, shared experience. Most importantly, they had the opportunity to visit mosques, deepening their understanding of Islamic traditions and seeing a stronger connection to their faith. This field trip was a significant milestone for our organization, as it combined education, culture, and community bonding in a meaningful way, creating lasting memories for the children and their families.
Commemorating Independence Day with a Shared Iftar
Association Sons of Podrinje – IOWA in celebration of 1. The March of the Independence Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the first day of Ramadan, a joint Iftar was organized in the Jamaat Ezan.

Tonight at 1. March 2025 we demonstrated that far in a foreign world, more precisely in the state of Iowa, with the selfless support of our good Bosnian and Herzegovinian people, we will also celebrate the Independence Day of our homeland Bosnia and Herzegovina with iftar. Everything can be done when one wants to, and unity and harmony only contribute good to us, both to the individual and to the community.
